Toronto is one of the most walkable cities on Earth, with multiple charts placing it in the top ten for friendliness and safety.  A large reason for this is the countless parks that call the city home.  Although city life is usually known for partying and traffic: these parks have defined the city independently.

If you need a park you can slip away to while looking at real estate in Toronto: there are the best parks this gorgeous city has to offer.

    Dufferin Grove Park

At home in a neighborhood of the same name, this beautiful green park is a resting spot for people from all over the city.  Just a block away from public transit and on the cusp of the neighborhood, there’s a great mix of walking paths and benches so that you can enjoy the park however you want.  Beautiful landscaping with an eye for detail makes this park almost too attractive to picnic in! But don’t be afraid to swing by and stop to catch your breath for a while.

we embark on a green journey through the heart of Canada’s largest city. Navigating through the bustling streets involves more than just city life; it’s about discovering serene escapes that offer respite from the urban hustle. It’s not just about parks; it’s a curated selection of green havens that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. As we explore the best parks to visit in Toronto, we unveil a mosaic of options—from the iconic High Park with its lush landscapes to the waterfront charm of Sugar Beach. Each park becomes a unique oasis, providing a breath of fresh air, recreational opportunities, and a chance to connect with nature amid the vibrant tapestry of Toronto’s urban landscape.

    High Park.

This municipal park in Toronto is a perfect mix of recreation and natural beauty.  Multiple facilities across the grounds create spaces for anyone who needs it. Cultural spaces, sports spaces, and some historic educational spaces gather together and create a well-rounded park.  Although it’s a short walk away from most public transit, the trip is worth it!  High Park is a marvel to look at and is a fantastic place to relax and be entertained.

    Oriole Park.

Some parks are more geared towards children than others, and Oriole park proves this point!  This park is the best one for families with endless playgrounds, beautiful sloping green lawns, and very walkable paths.  Visitors can join in on free classes like Yoga In The Park that happen throughout the week.  This park is a fantastic place to go if you want a sense of community.

    Sunnybrook Park.

Although in the 1800s, this park lived as an estate to Joseph Kilgour, it’s now home to endless fun and recreation.  More heavily focused on walking trails, Sunnybrook Park has several comfortable paths you can follow, allowing space for anything from walking to running. In addition, a dog park is on the premises so that your furry friends can join in and enjoy the fresh air and companionship.

    Trinity Bellwoods.

Trinity Bellwoods park sits where the Trinity campus used to in Toronto.  This public park now has a high-class feeling, welcoming guests via a large and heavy gate that closes at sundown.  As a leash-free park, this is the go-to place for dog lovers who want to run free with their pets.  This park is less predictable than others on this list, but it’s still a fun place to go if you want to get out for a while.

    Kew Gardens.

Located in the Beaches neighborhood, this park is all about its waterway views.  The most scenic park on this list, Kew Gardens, has a lot going for it.  A family-friendly atmosphere, mixed with easy access from all over the city, makes this a favorite for early twenty-somethings who want to slip away from the stress of their work life.
